  Although the Intel 8088 micro processor is the second in the Intel line,
after the 8086, it is the slowest and least expensive of the processors.
Internally identical to the 8086, the 8088 has an 8-bit external data bus to
allow compatibility with older, less expensive 8-bit designs.
